Adding an alarm
1. Unite connectivity Manager
Firstly, you will need to log into the UCM and click on configuration. FYI your UCM layout may be different to the below depending on the licences you have purchased/set up.
2. Alarms and Events
Once you have been redirected to the configuration page. Down the left-hand side, you will select Alarms & Events, then Basic Handling.
3. Alarm Action
In here you can set up the alarm Name and a Description/Note
4. Alarm Trigger
Triggers is where you decide what alarm type you are going to set up. For example, if you wish to set up a panic alarm for safety. You can set it up as Alarm Trigger – Push button double press.
5. Actions
Actions is what you would like the alarm to do and who you would like the alarm to be sent to. You have different actions:
Message action - Sends a message to the required users.
Output action - You have two output ports that can be configured.
Push-to-talk message - Opens a conference bridge between users.
If you wish to add the location option, you will need to add the location under Alarm & Events and Locations. These locations can either be base stations, DECT locators or infrared locating for your paging. When adding locations, it is recommended that you either use DECT locators or base stations but don’t use both.
