IO - Creating an 802.1x SSID

Introduction:

In this guide we will be going through how to configure AAA settings and applying them to an 802.1x SSID. 

 

Process:

Step one:

First we will need to navigate to configuration and then select AAA servers from the options given so we can configure the server settings.

Then we will need to select add.

Step three:

We will give the server a name and configure all the settings such as IP address, port and the passphrase option. We also have the option of configuring a secondary AAA server, once happy with the configuration you can select save.

Step four:

The AAA server created will appear in the list of options under AAA.

Step five:

We will then navigate to our AP group that we configured previously and select SSID.

Step six:

We will then need to create the SSID by giving it a name, setting the security type and selecting the AAA server option that we created earlier. The other settings can also be adjusted and confgured including VLAN, band steering, advanced options etc.

Step seven:

We can now verify that the SSID has been created.

Conclusion:

We have now created an 802.1x SSID and applied the AAA server to it.
