Ruckus ICX - Password Recovery / Resetting a Switch

Purpose

The purpose of this guide is to demonstrate how to recover the password for a switch that the user has miss placed the password for.

Pre-Requisites:

• Please ensure you have the console cable supplied with the switch and terminal emulation software.

Recovery Process

Reboot the switch with the console cable attached and press "b" until the following is displayed.

Using the following commands to remove the password

• no password

• boot

Once the switch has booted enter the new username and password, save the configuration and reboot the switch again otherwise remote access will not function.

On the CLI type "erase startup-config" and then reboot the switch
